October 14th took Hepheisto across four factions at BR3. The day ended with two wins and two losses, and none of the matches were dull.
Japan kicked things off on Heilongjang Airport. Hepheisto was on defense in the Invasion and made it a statement: 121 kills, 15 assists and a solid victory. The lineup included Type Ko Rifle engineers and a captured M1918A2 in the MG-BAR slot.
The real headline came from a loss, though. Playing the Allies on Ruins of Vaux, Hepheisto took the P-39Q-5 up and went hunting with the 37mm. Two Bf 110s, two Bf 109s and an Fw 190 went down, one of them to the "Black Knight" variant of the gun. The 500lb bomb added infantry kills on top of that, and on the ground an engineer took out a Panzer III J1 with a TNT charge. It still wasn't enough to hold Ruins of Vaux.
Germany also came up short on Dominant Height in Confrontation. That match still brought the day's biggest payout at 192,260 EXP and 20,950 silver. One machine gunner destroyed a Crusader with TNT, and a Panzerfaust 60 put down an M4A2.
The Soviets closed out the day with a win on Monastery. Their anti-tank gunner knocked out an Sd.Kfz.7 and a Panzer III B with the Panzerfaust 60, and the "Zuckerman Molotov Launcher" took out several enemies at once.
